About me

Hey guys!​ I'm a 24 year old female and (maybe like you?) I'm going through a bit of a life crisis.​

1) I don't know what I want to do with my life but...

2) I want a bit of a change from my former habits and...

3) I need a comfort zone push in order to make me feel more connected with myself again.

 

I have decided that in order to push my limits, challenge my level of self discipline, and harness the idea of mind body and soul, that I will be signing up for my first ever Ironman.

 

Ah yes, the old quarter life crisis. But what does that mean for you all? Why should you care that I am signing up or what the hell I am even doing with my life?

 

Good question...I mostly hope that my training and my struggles through this blog will encourage others (maybe even yourself?) who are a little bit lost to hopefully find themselves again in a positive, non-destructive way. I also thought that sharing my journey would be inspiring for anyone who might teeter on the edge of wanting to do something challenging but not knowing if they're good enough, or feeling very alone in their own challenges. ​

 

On this page you will find a community blog where you can post about your own challenges, accomplishments, thoughts.  I will also be posting my weekly training plan as well as my nutrition plan in case anyone decides they also want to try and complete an ironman (and then write in the community section and you can tell me your training strategies as well :)​ ​

 

I also want to mention that I have never competed in a triathlon before. I say this to hopefully encourage anyone that thinks they can't do this that it IS in fact possible (hopefully haha).​    

 

Note of caution: I am not an exercise therapist, trainer, nutritionist or doctor of any kind. I simply have taken the information I have learned in my life and used my previous knowledge to make a training and nutrition plan.
